Position Summary

The Applications Support Analyst is responsible for managing Technology Credit Union’s (Tech CU’s) loan origination and servicing systems. The primary responsibilities for this position includes regular review and maintenance of existing loan origination and servicing system’s business rules and processes applicable to application entry; as well as underwriting, processing, funding, and servicing of a loan. The incumbent demonstrates sound knowledge of business processes to facilitate the ongoing review and system automation required to meet the business’s long-term objectives.


The incumbent is responsible for planning, conducting analysis and creating requirements for changes applicable to loan origination and servicing systems. The Applications Support Analyst seeks opportunities to gain efficiencies by performing research, analysis and provide recommended solutions for regulatory compliance, systems enhancements and business needs leveraging the loan origination and supporting systems. The Applications Support Analyst supports report creation and review business needs within the loan origination system.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties


• Demonstrates deep functional and technical subject matter expertise by understanding the lending origination and servicing systems.
• Elicits business requirements, functional designs, cross functional implications and implementation plans for loan origination and servicing systems ensuring no negative downstream impacts with proposed solutions.
• Consults with users and vendors to develop detailed analysis of user requirements business specification, workflow, reporting requirements.
• Assists in the evaluation of business requirements for translation into system requirements in consideration of business need and existing technology infrastructure.
• Conducts end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical and functional requirements are being met, including the development of test cases.
• Documents and manages change control processes and clearly articulate functional and non-functional requirements.
• Combines research and recommendations with requirements for systems or process changes.
• Troubleshoots user interface issues and resolve as appropriate.
• Performs root cause analysis providing recommendations and solutions that can be quickly implemented to correct problems.
• Tracks system defects and report statuses.
• Assists in developing configuration settings for custom workflow and reporting within the loan origination and servicing systems.
• Aids in the design of training materials for loan origination and servicing systems.
• Configures, communicates and maintains loan origination reporting system.
• Maintains consistent line of communication with other Application Support Analyst(s) and provides back up as needed.


Work Schedule


• Full-time; typically 40+ hours/week
• Flexible within core business hours, M-F
• Occasional extended early morning or late evening hours, and weekends, typically with advance notice

Qualifications

Education: BS/BA Degree in a related business discipline or equivalent experience.


Experience:


• 4+ years' of financial institution experience with at least 2 years proven experience creating business requirements documents, functional specifications and procedures.
• Previous experience as a loan origination system administrator, business analyst or business systems analyst is preferred.

Licensing/Certifications: None required.


Travel: May be required to infrequently attend offsite meetings or events, typically with advance notice. Overnight travel unlikely.


Typical Working Conditions: Office environment with interaction with a variety of internal and external parties. Works remotely as determined by business need and individual performance.


Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer, phone and other devices as needed.


Physical Requirements:


• Typical office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing.
• Ability to sit ~85% of the day.
• Ability to keyboard and read computer screen for ~65% of the time during which one is seated.
• Ability to work extra hours as needed, including weekends and evenings to complete projects (if required).

Pay and Benefits

This is a grade 107 position, with a salary range from $108,600 to $157,400 with bonus potential of 10%. The anticipated range for new hires is between the low-end and midpoint of the range, depending on experience. Tech CU is a pay-for performance organization that benchmarks base pay to the 50th percentile of our market and we provide incentive-based compensation aligned with successful accomplishment of individual and corporate goals. The salary mentioned above is based on working in San Jose, CA. Salaries are based on the geographic location in which you live if working remotely.

 

Additionally, Tech CU provides health care benefits, life and disability insurance, 12 paid holidays and 401k with a company match; along with employee paid voluntary benefits. 7.08 Paid Time Off (PTO) hours accrue per bi-weekly paycheck (23 days per year) and will increase with length of service. Eight hours of Voluntary Time Off (VTO) are granted to full time employees annually to dedicate time to charitable organizations. Leaves of absences are available in adherence with state and federal regulations.
